National Highways Thalappadi- Chengala, Kasargod, Kerala
NHAI 6 lane hybrid annuity mode road project under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The project is executed by dividing the national highway from Thalappadi in Kasargod to Kazhakoottam in Trivandrum, into 13 tretches.ln this project, the work of the 39 km road from Thalappadi to Chengala in Kasar-god district, was taken over by ULCCS .The project started on 18 November 2021 and the work is ongoing. ULCCS received the contract of the the first reach in Kerala for Rs. 1704.125 crores.
Development of mass transport facilities in urban areas is a challenge by itself. This bus shelter in Thrissur District of Kerala is one of the busiest facilties. The project was conceived and executed by ULCCS. The design was based on local transportation needs while adhering to Interational design concepts. The execution was done ensuring minimal disruption to existing flow of traffic.
Valiyazheekkal Bridge is constructed across the estuary of the Arabian Sea on the coastal highway, Kollam District. The 981 meter long Valiyazheekkal Bridge has a length of 1.216 km including the approach road. The weight of the vehicles and the deck slab is trans-ferred to the arches by Mac Alloy tension rod imported from England. The bridge is at a height of 12.00 meters above the water surface to facilitate the passage of small ships and barges from the Arabian Sea to the National waterway and Azheekkal Harbour.
